Frequently Asked Questions

Fancy Color Lab Grown Diamond Engagement Rings

A pink, blue, or yellow center stone stops people mid-conversation in a way a colorless diamond never does. Lab grown fancy color diamonds give you that reaction without the natural diamond price tag. Diamondrensu creates every colored stone in-house, grades it to IGI standards, and sets it into a ring. Start here if you want a ring unlike anything else in the room.

What are Lab Grown Colored Diamonds?

Every lab grown colored diamond at Diamondrensu starts as pure carbon grown under controlled heat and pressure, just like any other lab diamond. The difference comes from one additional step: trace elements are introduced or the stone is exposed to controlled radiation during or after growth, creating its final color.

How Lab Grown Fancy Color Diamonds Get Their Color

Nitrogen creates yellow, boron produces blue, and changes in the crystal lattice during growth create pink. Green and black are usually achieved through irradiation after the stone has formed. At Diamondrensu, every stage of the process is carefully controlled to ensure consistent color. Under macro magnification, that consistency appears as an even tone rather than a visible gradient.

Lab Grown Diamond Color Grades - Fancy Light to Fancy Vivid

GIA and IGI grade colored diamonds on a scale running from Fancy Light through Fancy, Fancy Intense, and up to Fancy Vivid. Fancy Light barely tints the stone. By the time you reach Fancy Vivid, the color has taken over the whole diamond.

IGI Certification for Fancy Color Lab Grown Diamonds

Every lab grown fancy color diamond at Diamondrensu comes with an IGI certificate verifying its origin, color grade, clarity, and cut. This removes the uncertainty of judging color from product photos alone. The grading report remains a trusted reference for future appraisals, insurance, or resale.

Fancy Color Lab Grown Diamond Colors at Diamondrensu

Diamondrensu carries five core colors across its lab grown fancy color diamonds range.

Yellow Lab Grown Diamonds

Yellow is often the first color buyers ask to see, because it photographs brighter than any other fancy color and sits well against both yellow gold and rose gold. Yellow lab grown diamonds hold their color well against warm metals, since the gold tone doesn't fight the stone color.

Pink Lab Grown Diamonds

A natural pink diamond in a significantly large size costs several times more, and that gap is usually the first thing buyers ask about once they see the price. Pink stones from Diamondrensu range from a barely-there blush to a deeper rose, and the deeper end keeps its color even under ordinary indoor lighting.

Blue Lab Grown Diamonds

The cool, steel-like tone of blue lab grown diamonds, reads modern rather than vintage, and it holds up best set in white gold or platinum, where nothing else in the ring competes with the stone's own color.

Green Lab Grown Diamonds

Green rarely tops anyone's initial wish list, yet it's the color that changes minds once someone actually sees it in person. The mossy tone sits closer to olive than emerald green, so it doesn't compete with an actual emerald. At Diamondrensu, our collection includes green lab grown diamonds with enough saturation to carry a solitaire setting on its own.

Black Lab Grown Diamonds

A black diamond doesn't sparkle the way a transparent stone does; it holds a deep, opaque color that behaves more like an accent gem.

Colored Lab Grown Diamond Engagement Ring Styles

The setting changes how a colored stone reads on the hand, sometimes more than the color itself does.

Solitaire Fancy Color Lab Grown Diamond Ring

One band, one stone, and nothing else competing for attention. Solitaire settings suit Fancy Intense or Fancy Vivid grades best, since there's no halo or side stones adding extra sparkle if the center stone runs light.

Halo Setting for Colored Lab Grown Diamonds

Surround a lighter-toned center stone with small white stones. The white stones frame the color like a spotlight when you pair a colored center stone with two white diamonds.

Three Stone With Colored Center Stone

A colored center stone flanked by two white diamonds makes the color stand out even more. Diamondrensu builds this style around blue or green centers.

How to Choose Your Fancy Color Lab Grown Diamond Ring

Color is the fun decision. Setting, grade, and finish are the ones that determine how the ring wears over the next decade.

Pairing Color With Metal Type

Rose gold intensifies warmth. Pair it with an already-warm stone and the combination can read warmer than either piece alone. Blue and green look sharpest in white gold. Black, being opaque rather than color-saturated, works in mixed metal too.

Color Intensity - What to Look For

Check the stone under natural light before deciding anything, not just under a jeweler's spotlight. A Fancy Light stone can look almost colorless under indoor bulbs, while a Fancy Vivid holds its saturation even in low light or shade. If color needs to show up in every photo the buyer takes, Fancy Intense or above deliver that among colored lab grown diamonds.

Customization at Diamondrensu

Every ring on this page is a starting point, not a fixed order. Avail of our expert ring customization service to swap metal, adjust band width, resize the center stone, or rebuild the setting entirely around a chosen lab grown diamond’s color. In the end, the ring that ships matches what you actually imagined.
